In the western world it is more common to see Musicians delving into acting, (like Will Smith) and I think it is quite understandable because music involves a lot of acts especially when it comes to videos but in this part of the world the reverse is the case (like Tonto Dike).
Multi faceted Kate Henshaw, judge for Nigeria’s got talent, exGlo Ambassador, and face of Onga explains that even though she never had plans to become an actress as she had always wanted to become a musician but her father strongly objected when asked if she would try something else like music after acting for over 19 years responded “You people should leave me alone. I don’t want to disgrace myself. Acting is my stronghold, I will stay there.”
The Akwa Ibom born actress seems to learn fast and from experiences too as she says, something else she doesn’t do is going late as it cost her a Main Character role in Opa William’s ‘Onome’ back then. She explains that she was up for that role with Uche Osutule but the producer made it known that the role would be given out on first come basis of which Uche got there on time and she came 10 minutes late and consequently lost the role to the eventual ‘Onome’.
Kate Henshaw, 40, however says she isn’t tired of giving love a try as she is currently divorced after 12 years and with a daughter, “I don’t have anything against love, I want to love again, after all God gave us His son to love us.”
